Seek those images that constitute the wild, the lion and the virgin, the harlot and the child. Find in middle air an eagle on the wing, recognize the five that make the Muses sing. | W.B Yeats, Those Images

Wash Out

For your information, Columbus nearly got swept away in the flood-like deluge of rain that fell during the last 5 days. The only thing that gave us hope was a picture of a rainbow we found in a wayside children’s story book.

If I had been suitably prepared with all the necessary heavy excavating equipment, I could have easily built the mote I’ve always dreamed of.

Yesterday, while reclining on the couch and listening to music, accompanied by muted television images, I had a weather epiphany. I watched languidly as shot after shot demonstrated the liquid damage inflicted throughout the area; soon the Weatherman’s smirking face appeared to explain more of the devestation. Instantly I realized the truth: Meteorologists are completely and irrevocably responsible for all bad weather. They should be treated as they so desperately deserve.

Nicely put. There’s no denying they get a kick out of “inclement” weather. “Inclement.” Now what is that supposed to mean? They should just say, “We’ve got some lousy stuff coming up, and all you mere mortals should take shelter. Heh heh heh.”

    Stupid weather people.
