Sorry I haven’t paid much attention to my blog recently, there’s a been a lot going on—but it was worth it (and probably will be for years to come) for my heart is nearly bursting with excitement and joy at the incredible announcement I have for you today.

Britt and I have looked forward for a long time to the day that we would be together. One of the reasons was so that we could collaborate together musically—to share our talents and passions with each other and perhaps to inspire others with our creative expression. We never really imagined that the “inspire others” part would blossom so fully.

We wrote a song together shortly after she arrived. It turned out very well; a nice singable hook and the right sort of rhythm to really make it go. We both thought we might have something with the song, and after playing it for one of the guys in my church band (who also happens to be a producer for a mid-sized local label), we were invited to record it as a single and then to submit it to an “Emerging Christian Artist” contest.

I had to pull a few strings, but I really wanted to spread the word on this song—I think it could definitely be a blessing to you; anyway, I got permission to offer it as a free download for 1 week on my blog. I’m so excited! The Lord really blessed us with this opportunity and I’m curious as to where it might lead. I hope it encourages you. Tell me what you think…
