Hard Back

I acquired 7 more highly treasured books for my rapidly expanding library yesterday. I had had my eyes on these particular books for several months and the only thing that kept me from snatching them up earlier was the price which, though a superb bargain, was somewhat prohibitive to me. I purchased the books at a small quaint book store located between an alley and a small one-way street in Uptown. The gentleman who owns the place must buy/sell books purely for hobby’s sake–he doesn’t advertise or sell online, but he does have the greatest used collection of rare hardback books I’ve seen. He’s only open three days a week; I try to go in about once a month, and I always buy something.

The books I bought yesterday are fairly hard to find in a complete hardback set, and though I have them in paperback I always prefer hardback.

That’s right. I found the entire set of Chronicles of Narnia in illustrated individual hardback books. I think that actually the addition of these books brings my bookshelf to overflowing status. I need a new bookshelf, and that is a good feeling.

Live close to Richmond, Indiana. Love books. Have four no five new ones. No fiction. You have an interesting future and a neat blog.

  2. Glad you stopped by Abraham. I’m always pleased to meet fellow book-lovers (though if I understand you correctly I’m sad that you don’t enjoy fiction).
