We leave tomorrow.

Saturday is the day that Brittany and I assume our transcendent roles; brittany as Bride, and i as Groom. In a sense our identities on the day of our union will fade to the background as we participate joyfully in a Grand Metaphor, perhaps the Grand Metaphor. As individuals we are incapable of bearing the weight of meaning that is inherrent in the Metaphor, but as willing, humble players in a greater game–one that has been played-out from time immemorial–we will be able to put off our individual transience and live, for a moment, in an eternal moment. The Groom and his Bride, the King and his Queen, Christ and his Church; an incredible field to be sure…

  4. Hey bro, David Linhardt here. Mega congrats on the now-past wedding–I’ve talked to Ingrid (Anderson) some lately, and I heard a while ago about your engagement . . . excellent! It’s been years since we’ve talked, such is life and all that rot. Rock on, Tim.
