Six O’Clock Vintage

Seek those images that constitute the wild, the lion and the virgin, the harlot and the child. Find in middle air an eagle on the wing, recognize the five that make the Muses sing. | W.B Yeats, Those Images

Vinegar and Baking Soda

I’ve been trying to expand my blog-reading list; I’m not tired of the blogs that I frequent, but I feel that the circles I read in are too small. In my search for superb blogs, that have the added quality of being the sort of text that I like to read, I have found two finalists. Of course nothing is conclusive, for consistency is a necessary attribute. I thought I would give a glimpse into the potential regular reads of Infinite Regression:

Korrektiv: The adventures of a couple of bad Catholics at a time near the end of the world.*

Two Jonathans willing to seriously examine their faith, yet recognize the high value of levity.

The Listless Lawyer

Philosopher, reader, intellectual. Good sources, provocative ideas.

If you have blog recommendations post them in a comment.

In other news I am proud to announce that my kitchen sink is finally unclogged. My beautiful wife is responsible for both the clog and the clearing. And I must give her kudos for the successful implementation of a home-plumbing remedy. Vinegar and baking soda got the job done just before we went to bed last night, and I can tell you the sight of a drained sink brought huge smiles to our faces! Now if we can avoid putting turkey carcasses down the disposal… (j/k, it wasn’t quite that bad :)

Tim, Thanks for the plug (and the un-plug). And the comments.

  6. korrektiv: no doubt, keep it real and perhaps think about exploring your fascination with Kierkegaard and Flannery O’Connor in the same vein; that is, read O’Connor’s works through a Kierkegaardian framework. David Eggenshwiler has a classic (and sought after) book that does just that. Looking forward to what you bring next-
