The more I read of Solzhenitsyn (and I’ve read a great deal already, nearly 400 pages) the more I am convinced that his poignant examination/expose of the cancerous USSR serves as a fitting analogue of Christian spirituality. There is a lot more to that; perhaps I’ll explore it in greater detail later. This is certainly a book you ought to read if you haven’t.
