Part I : Decay

A certain magazine once sent out a survey to some artists. The artists were from various disciplines; some were painters, others were writers–even some sculptors were included, and naturally there was a sprinkling of photographers and musicians. The survey asked an important question of these folk: what is beauty? Now of course, such a question to a group of artists should not be assumed to draw any sort of corollary between its object, beauty, and the answer to a more important question, what is art? Art and Beauty get thrown together more often than warranted, I believe. Thesbian Extraordinaire

So I am in a play coming out soon; it’s not Broadway, which is good because it means that you can come to it for mere pennies; actually free, I’ve heard. I’m not in a main role, which undoubtedly disappoints some of you, but I do appear in an entire scene. Come to the play and I will bow to you at the end.

Graphite

Spring cleaning brought about the death of my 15 year old pencil collection; I threw them all away–it was hard, but so were the erasers so I guess I did the right thing. In other news, my soccer team managed to score 3 more goals on Saturday, we were even in the lead at half time! Yet victory is ever elusive; with the loss of 5 of our players at half time to “previous commitments” we managed to get beaten up pretty bad in the second half. After that we went to the Crew game and ate burgers and drank beer and watched Mr. Adu run back and forth. It was a pretty good day.
