A couple things:
My soccer team scored for the first time this season on Saturday (it was our fourth game). Though we failed to bring home the coveted Victory we took a significant step towards league domination, i.e. we put two shots in the net. Naturally such a success was almost depressing in light of the fact that it was actually viewed as significant.
I “finished” the Gulag Archipelago. I was proud of conquering the 650 page book as quickly as I did until I read the translator’s notes at the end and realized I still had about 2000 pages to go. Apparently I only read the first volume of three, and my volume only contained the first two parts out of seven total parts. I have actually only read a little less than a third of the Gulag. Well, I suppose I had better start on the rest (I don’t have it at the moment, so I plan to take a bit of a break with some Umberto Eco).
Name of the Rose or something else?
Name of the Rose. And I anticipate flying through it–the first chapter or two have been absolutely magnificent.
i geuss it would be mean to be sarcastic and say something like “your team only scored two in four games?!!!’ so i will tell you some about my AWESOME soccer team and be nice. My soccer team has only lost 2 games, and i have about 4 goals alone, me, myself, and i play, midfielder, forward, and i HATE playing goalie but i am one of the most expeirenced goalie on my team so i have too
I [HEART] you so much–It’s fabulous to be on a team that doesn’t score until the fourth game of the season in so many ways!
Thanks for sharing that.
