Hitch

Yesterday was quite a remarkable day. I Wooted for the first time, giving in to the curious culture surrounding the magnificent “Woot-Off.” I didn’t do it merely once, I did it twice.

Naturally the above experience is unique enough to add luster to any day, but yesterday wasn’t just any day. My cousin from Denver called just as I was leaving work. He is on the return leg of a trip across the country and has been traveling solely as a hitchhiker. He was 100 miles out and was wondering if he could stay with us; I acquiesced willingly, and I can’t wait to hear his stories!

I didn’t get a chance to hear any of his adventures last night because Britt and I were in Cincinnati for the Reds/Cubs baseball game. The stadium is beautiful; expect some shots of it to be posted soon.

Tonight? Subbing at someone’s softball game, resting for tomorrow’s soccer game, hearing stories about the road.

When you were at the game, did you hear the vendors yelling about alcoholic beverages and sweating as they carried case upon case of cheap beer around the stadium?

    That used to be me.

    COOOOOOLD BEEEeeeerrr HEEERE!
