Heat makes Pat Robertson a global warming “convert”
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Conservative Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson said on Thursday the wave of scorching temperatures across the United States has converted him into a believer in global warming.
“We really need to address the burning of fossil fuels,” Robertson said on his “700 Club” broadcast. “It is getting hotter, and the icecaps are melting and there is a buildup of carbon dioxide in the air.”
This is surprising for Pat–one would think that from Pat’s perspective Global Warming is a sign of God’s wrath at the United States for allowing gays and minorities to stay alive… In fact, I wouldn’t have been surprised if Pat had said such a thing and claimed God whispered it in his ear (while he was leg-pressing over 2000 lbs).

That’s amazing! Pat Robertson can leg press 2000 lbs. I wonder who would win in a fight, him or Chuck Norris.

Sasquatch, you forget: Chuck Norris is a Christian, and the only way Robertson could beat him in a fight would be if Chuck supported basic civil rights and refused to be a hate monger (then he might be accused of sinning because he wasn’t upholding the Moral Majority. In such a scenario God, naturally, would be on Robertson’s side).
But I can honestly say I might order paperview if those two took to the ring…
