I‘m hungry and I feel a vague sense of doom.
The cold air last night provided some delicious atmospheric rejuvenation; fall approaches soon. Richard Adams argues that people like cold weather because it tends to make them feel more clever in their ability to survive and overcome it. I think he has something there.
I’ve been reading the Hobbit outloud to Britt in the evenings. There is something immeasurably satisfying about reading aloud, though it takes much longer.
No food or drink after midnight.
It’s time to go home.
Last week i read some of The Two Towers aloud to my sister and cousin while we were laying on the beach…you’ll probably pull off a much better Gollum voice than i was able to.
I love the pictures below, by the way…they’re beautiful!
Thanks Colleen. I’ve been trying as hard as I can to give each character a unique voice–haven’t met Gollum quite yet (I think we run into him tonight).
Glad you like the pictures! Since we got a nice digital SLR I’ve shooting a lot more, I’ll post pictures again soon.
aww. my partner read _Arabian Nights_ to me when we were first married . . .
now he plays WOW into the night.
